Eben ist mir das Buch „Unnecessarily Beautiful Spaces for Young Minds on Fire“ in die Hände gefallen. Herausgegeben von The International Alliance of Youth Writing Centers. Es geht um Lernorte für Kinder und Jugendliche. Schöne Lernorte.
Warum die Schönheit so wichtig ist? Hier aus dem Vorwort zum Buch von Dave Eggers:
„If we want to forster creativitiy and sensitivity in students, we must surround them with unnecessary, even extravagant beauty. An inspired learning environment sets the imagination on fire and makes a young person feel loved.
This is true: they feel loved, sensing the encompassing affection and respect that went into the creation of that learning space. And with beauty all around them, they will want to make beautiful things, too.“
